My Introduction to Manufacturing course was in need of some revitalized projects that still incorporated my learning objectives. What follows is a walk through of one of those redesigned projects. My students produce a small handheld level. It incorporates design and pattern making, casting, manual machining, CNC machining, and finishing on the laser engraver.
