This session will focus on using Electronics as a vehicle to teach the Engineering Design Process, and how

our Electronics course has evolved from a technology course to an engineering course. Our Engineering

Challenges require students to follow the Engineering Design Process by using design software,

prototyping using a breadboard, permanently fabricating (soldering) their final design, and

testing/reflecting - all from scratch, no kits. Our Engineering Challenges include a 2 LED blinker circuit, a

lightsaber, a cell phone charger, digital dice, and an Arduino/blood O2 sensor. The presenter will share

curricular resources and materials lists.
