Mr. Dave Resler

(USArmy LTC (ret))

The US Army has over 150+ career fields (Military Occupational Specialty – MOS). This includes job training in common trade skills: Welding, Carpentry, Electrician, Plumbing, just to name a few and includes state-of-the-art, multimillion dollar platforms that help defend the nation.   The US Army also helps provide assistance with developing apprentice, journeymen, and other Trade Skill categories.  When educators have a better understanding of the level of training and rigor provided by the Army, they can better inform their students on career options.   This session will provide a behind the scenes look at not just what it takes to be a Solider, but what it takes to be a Carpentry and Mason Specialist, Interior Electrician, Plumber, Horizontal Construction Engineer, just to name a few. This session will provide educators with the information needed to help students who are considering military service as a way forward to make effective career choices.
